IN these days every woman in a cold climate must invest in a high quality winter overcoat. In cold months – regardless of how stylishly you're dressed underneath – your coat is the first thing people see, which means it creates your first (fashion) impression.
Women OverCoats
Your overcoat should be at least as stylish as the clothing you're wearing underneath it. Wearing nice clothes under a shoddy jacket or windbreaker is pointless. However, there have been many women who have dashed out to get the paper in their long overcoats with sweats (or even their skivvies) underneath, only to look fabulous: your overcoat can make a statement even when the rest of your ensemble is in shambles.
Ladies, who doesn't love a womens trench coat? Itis slimming, comfortable and keeps us dry when the rain starts. A womens trench coat is the perfect jacket for all seasons because it is warm enough for the snow, but it is light enough for the rainy spring days as well. You will always be able to look your absolute best when you wear this type of coat. No matter where you're heading, you will always remain sleek and stylish in a trench coat.
Start with a thin layer of synthetic material such as polypropylene, which wicks sweat from your body. Stay away from cotton because it holds the moisture and will keep you wet. An outer, breathable layer of nylon or Gore-Tex will help protect you against wind and precipitation, while still letting out heat and moisture to prevent overheating and chilling. If it's really cold out, you'll need a middle layer, such as polar fleece, for added insulation.
It is very hardest thing about winter that how to stay comfortable in different environments, basically being outside dealing with the weather or inside adjusting to a heated room. The best combination I've always used for wintertime is a shirt, light sweater, and a heavy coat. This outfit can deal with any situation. It works perfectly even for here in California. It may be sunny here 300 days out of the year, but it still gets chilly! Most winter mornings are cold but gradually warm up during the day. So as the weather warms up you gradually remove layers from your outfit in that way you are never too hot or too cold. And it works as well in most areas of the country that snows or has deep cold spells. The trek to work can be long and cold, but once you enter your office building the temperature will be enough for you to remove your coat and as you happily thaw out you can remove your sweater as well. Just because winter is upon us doesn't mean it is time to hibernate, so get out there and mix up those winter clothes and get creative!
